Durable The robust nature of
prestressed concrete wall panels makes these units resistant to damage from
constant out-loading and easy to clean out between batches. Concrete walls
formed using
horizontal & vertical prestressed concrete panels give a 90º
wall to floor joint. This eliminates potential damage points between the
loading shovel and the precast wall unit commonly associated with
traditional "L" and "T" section wall panels. Durability reduces the risk of
contamination of the stored material from wall fragments.
Rapid Installation Precast panels are delivered to site made to measure. Manufactured in controlled environment factory conditions from engineering grade concrete, the panels are quickly erected. Horizontal precast concrete walling, supported by steel building or stub columns, can provide anything from a single retaining wall to a multi building bulk storage system. The precast wall panels are available in three standard thicknesses to suit anticipated loadings and impacts (Click here for design data). The choice is dependant on the properties of the product to be stored, ie bulk density and angle of repose, the bay width, overall wall height and stored height of the product (level fill or surcharged). Units are manufactured in high grade 60N/mm prestressed concrete. They are available in many heights the most commonly used 1.0m, 1.2m & 1.5m. The units have high strength concrete interlocking tongue and groove joints enabling shock loads to be passed between panels reducing the likelihood of damage. Panel joints are sealed with high performance polyurethane mastic compound giving long life weatherproof joints. This also provides a smooth easy clean precast wall system.
An installation service can be
part of a complete design & build precast package. Installation of the concrete
panels is quick and simple and is usually carried out using a telehandler in
place of more expensive cranage. This reduces installation costs and brings
added flexibility to the progress of work on site.
