Interserve Construction Ltd contacted ACP regarding a new waste recycling facility being developed at Aldridge, West Midlands. Acting as both the end client (Interserve Site Services) and the main contractor, Interserve were looking to ACP to come up with an alternative solution to the expensive & time consuming traditional methods of push wall construction. ACP proposed the prestressed vertical cantilever panels at 280mm thick. Interserve were pleased with both the saving on construction time and the 60% saving on like for like traditional construction methods. ACP fitters installed 410m of walling in just 2 weeks.

ACP Concrete Ltd has been awarded the contract to supply the prestressed concrete panels for the extension to the grain storage facility at Shoreham Docks. Contracted to Adenstar Developments Ltd, ACP will be working with the building suppliers, A C Bacon Ltd, on the 72m x 53m building. The 6m high walls will be constructed using 280mm thick prestressed concrete panels and the finished building will provide up to 3,816msq of additional undercover storage.

ACP has just completed installation of the precast concrete walling to the new calf/lambing shed at the Cambridge University Farm as part of a major redevelopment of their facilities. Working as a subcontractor to R G Carters, ACP won this contract following on from a project earlier in the year to supply and install walling to the new silage clamp. ACP also supplied precast wall panels via Shufflebottom Ltd to the grain store and youngstock buildings on the farm.

Muir Construction Ltd gave ACP a call to resolve a retaining/security wall issue within a tight programme and even tighter site conditions. The tight programme meant that insitu concrete was not an option so, having consulted ACP's sales and design team it was proposed to utilise ACP's prestressed vertical cantilever panels. This system is both relatively cheap and quick to install when compared to traditional and alternative construction methods. The wall took one day to erect.
