Following on from a successful completion of Phase 1, ACP have won the contract for Phase 2 which involves the design, supply and installation of prestressed vertical panels to form a retaining wall 188m long x 3m high at the new Sainsbury's store in Whitby, North Yorkshire.
RSG Structures Ltd have placed two orders with ACP Concrete for retaining walls. RSG are working for main contractors, Interserve, on the new mechanical biological treatment (MBT) plant at Westbury, Wiltshire. The MBT process involves pre-sorting of the residual municipal waste, bio-drying in a composting area followed by shredding and further sorting to produce recyclates and a solid recovered fuel. The order for 730m² of 180mm thick prestressed concrete wall panels is being installed in June.
We will be exhibiting at the Health & Safety in Anaerobic Digestion Conference to be held at Harper Adams University College on the 17th October. The conference delegates will have the opportunity to view the fully operational AD plant at Harper Adams for which ACP Concrete supplied precast concrete walls for the process building.
ACP's contract to supply and install 316m² of precast concrete retaining walls to the perimeter of the new Tesco eco-superstore was completed last month. Using R35 180mm thick precast panels, the fitting team installed them over 6 days.
